Summary
| The double-barreled cannon was a weapon emplacement utilized by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The weapon featured two long barrels arranged in a parallel horizontal alignment. Each barrel was equipped with a wide, cone-shaped muzzle flare at the forward tip. The rear of the barrels locked directly into a thick rectangular main receiver block. The main firing assembly was supported by a vertical mounting arm with a central circular pivot joint, which allowed the barrels to tilt up and down. This vertical arm was anchored to a flat, solid rectangular base plate that stabilized the structure on the floor. A low-slung attachment extended from the rear of the main receiver block, providing a seat that allowed a single clone trooper gunner to sit low behind the weapon to manually aim and fire it. | ||
